Hi to all,

I need a little help with my throttle project.

I bought a throttle and several smaller handles from GVL224 somewhere in january, also the MJoy16 board from him. There were for my throttle project I want to build.

Everything is tested by gvl224, and I only need to make box for the mechanics and wire the smaller axis (one throttle axis, one prop pitch, and three smaller for radiators).

Now, where is the problem? GVL224 lives in Kiev, Ukraine, and I can't contact him for help because man have better things to do right now.

I need your help for this one.

He already connected throttle stick to the board and also he used several connector from the board for that. The board is with diode matrix on the backside, so I would only need to connect additional buttons.

On the picture bellow, we can see how he connected buttons and one encoder on the throttle stick.

I want to put several buttons and toggle switches more, so I made some panels which can be seen on the picture bellow...

(The panels will be covered with better plastic one with label, those are just for caring mechanics and switches).

Because he already connected buttons and they are in small matrix (2x5 matrix for the throttle), I need to know can I just add another buttons and toggle switch matrix separately (without interfering with his connections)!?

Can I do something like on the picture bellow?

The blue connectors are already used by him. Can I add additional buttons via two separate button matrixes (red and yellow) and toggle switches (green colour).

I need to add 13 more push buttons, and 7 toggle switches.

Also I would be thankfull if someone would explain to me how to connect toggle switches with 3 poles (OFF-ON type). Should I use two columns per toggle switch (I and J on the righ side) or one column is enough?

Hello. I sometimes go online and read forums :)
your wiring diagram is correct.
I didn’t understand from the three position toggle switches, what is their logic of work? indicate their operation algorithm, for example "on-off-on" or "(on)-off-(on)" or similar labeling of toggle switches that you want to use.

Hi Vitalii !!!

First of all - I hope that you and your family are OK!

I did not wanted to bother you for this again. But since you are here - I already asked you on GMail about this type of connecting additional push buttons. I wanted to be sure that I will not burn something in MJoy16 board if I do something like this.

About toggle switches... I have 5 of Those (3 pole ON-ON switches). They only close the circuit in one position.

Mini-Toggle1.thumb.jpg.1bdf7e1fd270ca65766bc0f44c3595b9.jpg

An 2 of those... OFF-ON positions. Only closing circuit in one position also. Off-ON.thumb.Jpg.42e9f90b9f2a206666c538ad8d2fa061.Jpg

I'm asking for help how to connect them to MJoy16 board. Should I use middle pole for common ground for all and only one pole for contact or should I use poth poles on the toggle switch aside from middle pole?

Will this be good for example?

Should I connect them like this because they have only one On-Off position or should the rounded poles (dashed red circles) also be connected and where?899191650_Toggleswitches.thumb.jpg.7c85311d3ba17f4b08b517c47834574a.jpg

Yes, everything is fine with me and my family, we are evacuated.
To say exactly how to connect a toggle switch to the controller, you need to know exactly the switching logic of this toggle switch. Not all toggle switches should be connected to the controller, they will have irrational work.
It is necessary to connect toggle switches for two fixed positions with the logic "on-on" or "on-off" to the contacts on the "Toggle" controller.
Other types of controllers to the "button" contacts on the controller. The optimal logic for such controllers is where there is "(on)" in brackets, which means that this position is not fixed. For me, this is "(on)-off-(on)" such a toggle switch replaces two buttons.

I'm glad that you and your family are well and evacuated from the front lines.

I hope that you will return soon to normal life and that war will end as soon is possible.

About toggle switches...

They have only two positions... On and off. They only conducting signal in the ON position (like when we holding push button constantly).

I'm planning to use them for selecting engines 1 and 2 (constant state ON most of the time) and the rest would be occasionaly used for a short period and after that will be returned to off state (landing gear, level flight autopilot, bomb bay doors...)...

Maybe is better to connect those trigger switches like ordinary bush buttons? Using only 2 poles.

The main thing for you to understand is how the controller works out the closing and opening of the physical contact on the toggle switch. When the contact is closed (regardless of the time in which it will be closed), the game sees it as a short press, for example, button No. 65, and when the contact opens, a short press of the button, for example 73, occurs.
I am attaching an archive with two English-language instructions for the controller.

I need to look at the MJ16 manual closer!

I need toggle switches to simulate one push button - one command. So... if some key is assigned to toggle command (for example, landing gears are opened/closed with same command), I need to connect toggle switch like that.

Also I'm trying to limit the all buttons/toggle switches to 32, so I would not have problem in IL-2.

I need to see which commands can be used like push buttons and maybe to connect toggle switches together with the buttons, and only to leave several toggle switches which requireing to be alwas On or OFF.

Must contemplate a little about this.

Thank you Vitalii.
