jollyjack Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 Q: is there no damage model for this block: industrial_object_zavodkorpys70m.mgm, as there is for vl_factory.mgm ??
Jaegermeister Posted May 21, 2022 Posted May 21, 2022 (edited) A: Yes, there is a damage model for that object Edited May 21, 2022 by Jaegermeister 1
jollyjack Posted May 21, 2022 Author Posted May 21, 2022 (edited) Funny, i set it up exactly as vl_factory, fire effect starts OK, also damage settings not set, but the darn industrial_object_zavodkorpys70m seems indestructible ... (command attack aimed for the same bombers). Edited May 22, 2022 by jollyjack
IckyATLAS Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 But you are right, many big buildings, churches, railway stations, palaces do not have a damage model. You bomb them, in the middle of smoke and fire they will always look pristine as new. Hope this will change one day.
IckyATLAS Posted June 10, 2022 Posted June 10, 2022 By the way there is a simple way to do that is just to use the same damage model like a pile of charred rubble that could be used as standard for those complex buildings models where to do each damage model variation is too much work. If you attack such a building with machine guns then nothing happens but if you bomb it then you get the pile of rubble. Simple and good enough. Surely much better than nothing.
