how to take screen shots in Bodenplatte

Sorry for the newbie question, but I assigned a button on my Thrustmaster T-flight Hotas X V.2 to take screenshots, but it doesn't. 

The image seems to stop for a split second but there are no screenshots in my computer.

The button assigned to start video does work.

 

What am I doing wrong?

 

Also, I have an Azus ROG GA503QR and it does not have a screenshot button. F6 appears to have a snipping tool logo but nothing happens when you press it, with or without the function key. The manual is not much help.

Are you looking in the right folder for your screenshot?  Locate your main game folder for IL-2, in my case IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Moscow.  Within that structure look for the folder entitled, "Screenshots."  Your screenshots should be there.
