Steam Version Viewer.exe

I would like to add some skins but I don't have any local files, the shortcut just points to a file on steam, so how would I get to viewer.exe

Skins are located in data>graphics>planes

Try IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles>bin>viewer.

Dunno how you get there on Steam as I don't use it but this is the location in the actual game so I would imagine that there's a few gates to go through before you get to this bit.

You want to add new skins yes?

 

Find what drive steam is installed on your computer, then steam> steamapps> common> IL2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad> Data> graphics> skins.  Then put the new skins in the correct folder for the type of aircraft.

 

If you just want to look at skins in the viewer navigate the same way, IL2 Sturmovik Battle of Stanigrad> bin> viewer. In the "viewer" file you will find the exe for the viewer, just send it as a shortcut to your desktop.
