What struck me is you can actually go through the start procedure in the P-47. That was great ! Can you tell me if the Battle Of Normandy aircraft will have that in this sim. Thanks

You can watch the startup procedure in any aircraft if you fly them in Quick Missions beginning from a parked position.

 

Career mode always starts with the aircraft running and ready for takeoff. Scripted missions and campaigns depend on the author's choice. 

 

The P-47D-22 in the Normandy pack has the startup procedure.

One of the big benefits of writing your own missions is that you can take the time to do things like go through the start and taxi process if you want to. It is usually not included in career missions because most people want to get straight to the "action". Also there are only populated home airfields in scripted campaigns.

 

All the aircraft have this feature built in, you just have to take the time to use it.

 

Yes, all BoN aircraft will have this feature.

What if I told you that VTOL VR, a VR sim made by one person has so many more features than IL2 Great Battles?
I love them both, but wish this sim would at least have some of the features from VTOL VR.
P.S Its mission editor also way more better than in IL2 Great Battles (and it never crashes).

I like the IL2 Editor but this crashing thing is a real pain in the ass, and even after years of complaints the devs never bothered to address this issue.

Yea lets ignore:

- Better radio communication

- Wingmen AI chatter

- Better VR than in this game

- Steam Workshop

- In game mission browser

- Rearm at airfield

- AI is not stupid while fending off enemy AI near at friendly carrier, either by guns or aircrafts

- Endless map creation with generated maps

- I am sure I forgot more features that are missing here

But lets ignore all these features that IL2 Great Battles lack because of game physics.

Come on Zeev, that game is a total fantasy with made up flight models, made up scenarios, and while those I know that played it had fun, not one of them would say it's a sim, or in any way reflects reality.
