New Front-Line for Velikiye Luki ca. may 43 - september 43 v01beta for EMG v60 and v01beta for EMG v611

Hi All,

I like the Velikiye Luki map because there was combat action during WW2 for a very long time from ca. summer 41 to january 44.

So it is possible to fly historical correct missions with many of existing GB planes.

Additional to the existing frontline in EMG Sept.41 to Febr.42 I want to create some more frontlines.

After Velikiye Luki had been liberated in winter 42/43 the front was comparable static until early october 43.

The importent Railway line in north - south direction (Nevel - Novosokolniki - Nasva) was still occupied by german forces, but the front was sometimes very close to this railway.

This is my first self created frontline, so it has more or less Beta status and due to lack of time and the quality of the historical maps its location is not perfect.

For EMG v60:

For 1943 planes I suggest in Plane Sets to "Clear the Custom Plane Set" and to "Copy Preset" the "Kuban" planes to the "Custom Plane Set" and use this.

For EMG v611:

No actions concerning plane selection required, plane types automatically selected in respect of date by new EMG.

 

THESE FRONT LINE SETTINGS ARE NEW AND NOT FULLY TESTED, SO PLEASE BACKUP YOUR EMG INSTALLATION AT FIRST

Thanks Kraut. Velie Luki is a beautiful map and indeed deserves an extra frontline. I have used your front lines and added new target/AAA/smoke locations and some airfields. This should work, but some testing won't hurt. I will release this with the next version of EMG.

Thanks for adding the new frontline to emg and that you want to add some airfields (I suppose in the west).

This means that  further new frontlines for autumn 43 / winter 43/44 (Liberation of Novosokolniki) could be created in future.

And maybe some for Operation Barbarossa in summer 41 too.

For end 43 / January 44 I have already found a frontline map sketch in Wikipedia.
