XAiracobraX Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 (edited) I have been interested in VR for flight sims for a few years but have not tried it. I currently have a i7 10700k with 32Gb 3200 MHz ram with a GTX 1080 8Gb graphics card with a Samsung SSD. With the settings below, without clouds it runs greater than 160+ fps, with clouds and AI it runs around ~110 fps. If I was to buy a Reverb G2 and somehow at RTX 3080 10Gb card, (this card is stretching the budget, the 12Gb or Ti versions are way outside my budget) would I be able to run similar settings at 90 fps? If I had to run FXAA, a horizon draw distance of 100km, no distant landscape detail, and reduce the mirror quality I would be okay with that. Edited May 15, 2022 by XAiracobraX
kissTheSky Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 I’d say somewhere between high and balanced would get you running smoothly, with fps dipping down to 60ies in hairy situations with 7-8 plates around, flying low over cities, and take offs, but being close at 90 the rest of the time. 1
Drum Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 With that 3080 though, yes you'd be smiling ear to ear with those settings. I have the 3080 10GB and I'm glad I never payed an extra 8 hundred for the additional 5ish FPS the Ti version promises.
