Game freezing when encountering ground assets

Hey guys, looking for some help here. IL-2 worked perfectly fine up until maybe a month ago, where I would get big red squares over map and random CTDs. Fresh install kinda fixed it but I still had some CTD issues. Two days ago I noticed that when flying around to objective my fps is 50-60, but as soon as I come close to ground assets, enemy airfield, artillery position, convoy, my game basically freezes up and framerate goes down to literally 1-2 fps, and by the time it unfreezes my plane has crashed. 

 

I pretty much ruled out hardware issues, as I ran a couple stress tests, disk checkup, CPU & GPU temp tests, memory tests and every other game works perfectly fine.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Are things the same offline and online?

I dont play MP but I can give it a look. This is all SP, career mode and quick missions

Hmm. I remember having red squares in map view that would result with crash a bit later.

 

The cause was too small paging file in Windows. I changed it from manual to automatic. All good after that.
