The 2011 version of Cliffs of Dover

Hi. I was interested in the Desert Wings-Tobruk sim and already have the 2011 COD installed which uses Steam. Should the older sim be deleted prior to any new content being installed? Does this even matter? I have not noticed this question anywhere else. Thanks in advance.

Uninstall the original cliffs or dover and then install cliffs of dover blitz

Hi Cat-26Ashby-26,

 

it is strongly recommended to remove the original Cliffs of Dover version when you install Blitz and Tobruk.

If you keep the original version, it can cause game crashes, graphical glitches and other problems.

Make sure you delete the cache folder after you uninstall the old game and install the new.

 

It is located in:

 

documents/1C SoftClub/il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover/

 

Folder should be deleted after every update or patch... but make sure you save your config files.
