Dserver... no idea why it won't load up....

Hi,

 

Got my key and seperate account.

 

Ports set up.

 

Mission set up.

 

The server just will not load.....

 

Getting this error:

    Loading mission 'Multiplayer/Dogfight\Test.mission' (Multiplayer/Dogfight\Test)...
    Server listener IP = '192.168.68.104'
!!! ERROR: Could not load mission: Multiplayer/Dogfight\Test.mission

!!! ERROR: COULDN'T LOAD MISSION Multiplayer/Dogfight\Test

 

I have a mesh network which the server connects to and tried all possible ips around that.

 

Tried everything I can find in the manual and on the net.

 

I regularly host DCS dedicated server and Arma 3 so don't see why this one would be different.

 

Any ideas would be appreciated.

By that, do you mean you tried the solutions in "ErrorMessage "!!! ERROR: COULDN'T LOADMISSION" for Multiplayer Mission", in the troubleshooting chapter?

 

Also, I made these note to myself for that topic:

• Does having the mission in the wrong folder also cause this error? See

          

• VA_SOLIDKREATE needed to turn off his AVG antivirus (??) to solve this issue. See

Yeah tried that stuff.

 

I use windows defender may tried turning it off to see.

 

I tested hosting via the regular launcher instead of Dserver.  I can get a server up and running but then when I try to connect from my gaming rig, it causes IL2 to crash out on the client end.  Tried a few stock missions this way with the same result.

 

Ironically the group I fly with have decided to play IL2 more for a little while as DCS can be frustrating with the crashes etc.  Much easier to get a DCS server up and running.

Were you ever able to get your dedicated server to function properly? I have had similar headaches trying to get a dedicated server to function properly. Requesting a DSERVER key was an absolute pain. Was able to get the dedicated server operating perfectly a number of weeks ago. I then went away on a trip and when I returned, I could not get “DSERVER.exe” to work properly. I cannot enter any info after DESERVER launches. The point of this msg is to find someone who has experienced similar frustration but found a solution.

Try running launcher.exe in the DServer /bin/game directory to update the DServer. After the update completes, close the launcher and run DServer.exe.

Thanks, JimTM. Will try that when I get home in 2 weeks. On another road trip. I also think that one of the latest game updates could have cleared the SDS configuration file. That would explain why the fields were empty in the DSERVER.exe.
