No, but if you want to fly them over a WWI map in single player you'll need Vol 1 or 2. In multiplayer you'll be able to fly them over any map as usual. 

 

You can also use them against AI WWI aircraft on any other maps in single player (e.g. QMB).

Nice to see that it looks like the Aldis sight will be fitted through the windscreen, unlike on the Dolphin: ?

No rush on that.  Probably be a few months I would imagine before they arrive...? ....  however, those mountains look really nice and looking forward to your maps.

No we cannot fit the Aldis through the windscreen unfortunately. Ugra just doesn't realize when they built the model.

Career mode is coming with the completion of Vol. II and I would imagine AQMB functionality will come with or  after that. We already have some (free!) scripted Flying Circus scripted campaigns. Basically once FC Vol. II comes out of early access it will be on par with other modules content-wise.

In theory , you should be able to fly over arras in ww1 collectorplanes online as long as the mission contain these collector planes.

You can access all maps online if you own the planes flying in that mission and own one pack

Absolutely delighted with the news of the SSW D-IV. Rare bird, indeed, but one of the few new aircraft produced for high altitude work. The preliminary mockups look fabulous. Keep up the good work.

I appreciate it's a compromise because of the graphics engine, but for me it would be preferable to keep the Aldis in the right place and just remove the windscreen if the Alsis is selected as a mod. The Dolphin would really benefit from that as well because it would allow a more realistic head position and let us easily see both above and below the top planes.

 

Can't wait for these two aircraft - I've always like the looks of the SSW D.IV !

The mod could simply Exchange the Windscreen with the hole included, together with the sight

Jason,

 

Money is not a problem for me; I've been pre-ordering FC ever since that option became available.  And I've been saying I'd like to see a Snipe in FC.  But money IS a problem for many customers and, all things considered, I think we deserve those planes as regular additions; not something we have to pay extra for.
