Hi all,

This morning I tested IL-2 Great Battles running on a AMD 5600G, (no dedicated graphics used), curiosity mainly.

Graphics was run at 1920 X 1080, balanced chosen, (within the games graphics settings), and loaded a test flight.

Keeping in mind, this particular PC build was not built for this purpose as it's only means of cooling is passively via a large integrated case heat sink.

The result: All appeared to run fine from this experience. (No fps overlays or temps used, it either works or it doesn't).

With a better cooling solution for the CPU, this short exercise would have been tested longer adding combat.

On another note: With Proton, bottles, etc,  I'm quite keen to try fedora in the future and see if IL-2 will run on a Linux base.

Has anyone else tried any of the above? If so, what did you discover?

Regards

Slightly OT, but: How do I even use the on-board GPU in a desktop PC? On my laptop, the computer will activate its GF on its own when needed and otherwise run the on-board chip.

Do I have to have a second cable, running from the mobo's GPU socket to the monitor and then adjust Windows power-settings and/or the NVidia CP?
