AEthelraedUnraed Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 (edited) Welcome to the forums You should save your mission files into the "[IL2 install directory]/data/Missions" folder. Then boot up the game and just click Missions in the main menu and your mission should be there. Be aware though that it'll show the title as configured in the mission and not the file name. IckyATLAS Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 In case you have not the Jim's Bible for IL2 Mission Editing here it is: IL-2 Sturmovik Mission Editor and Multiplayer Server Manual.zip Welcome into a very nice rabbit hole ?

I've tried a million different go to's that I've read here, and watched on youtube videos, but not a single mission file is recognized by the game, It will however acknowledge the folder that I put those mission files in. For example, data/Missions/testmission/ , it will not for the life of me recognize the mission files within 'testmission' but will give me an empty folder in the mission lists. I've tried deleting the cache, making sure the mission name is the same as the folder name, set LOC to english, a number of other things, and it always shows empty folders. Is there some issue with this working on an external drive? Thanks!

There's a couple things that I can think of: - In the Mission Properties (left-click the mission name in the Editor), make sure that "Mission" is set to "Single". - Make sure there's a player aircraft, and make sure it is of a type you own (make sure you own the map as well). - In the Editor under "Tools" (top bar), click "Start Integrity Check". If it gives any errors, solve them. - Very rarely, once the game has decided it won't show a mission due to some kind of problem with it, it will still refuse showing the mission after you've solved this problem. Save under a different file and mission name. Let us know if this helps you! 1
jollyjack Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 deleting the mctreecache.eng file from data often fixes these matters as well.
