MetalAttack Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Hello, I submitted several support tickets about my issue with having the LA-5 and Fw 190 A-3 collector planes I purchased in 2015 not appearing in the game, and they seem to have been completely ignored. Does the support team have a very long turnaround time for tickets, or something? This is a very simple issue, and I just want to have access to my planes.
Dallas88B Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 Cannot help you about the support ticket but maybe this might help... The screenshot says they key was sent... on my account, this refers to purchases I made as a gift for a friend. You indicate they were purchased in 2015 I presume they never worked for you since they list as not activated.... is that right? 2
von_Tom Posted April 23, 2022 Posted April 23, 2022 “Key sent” on my account relates to those bought for myself. OP if you bought via Steam, use the activation field (under purchases or licence keys in your IL2 profile) and activate them. if that fails, support should help but they’re usually quick i.e. within a few days. von Tom

So far, I've been told that I apparently gifted those two planes as that is the message which appears when you send gifts, which is highly unlikely, as I would have probably remembered doing so, don't actually have any online friends who play sims to buy them for, and at the end of the day, why would I buy someone planes as a gift before getting them for myself? Cheers

I can't double-check my profile to be absolutely certain (account profile page is down - too many requests from my IP for some reason - but... The only ones I have "Key activated" for are the module releases - Kuban, Normandy etc. The collector's aircraft all show as "Key sent". I haven't gifted collector's aircraft to anyone, that I can remember. Maybe 1 or 2, but not aircraft like the G6-Late etc. von Tom
[CPT]Crunch Posted April 27, 2022 Posted April 27, 2022 If you have any you purchased for gifts that haven't been sent or activated the box is blue and says "send gift".
MetalAttack Posted April 28, 2022 Author Posted April 28, 2022 In the end, I got fed up and just bought the planes again for USD 6 in the sale... They said I had sent them as gifts to someone, but when I said that this is highly unlikely, considering that I have no friends who play sims and would have got the planes for myself as well, I never got a reply. I initially only got a reply about the issue after several ignored support tickets when I posted this thread. Never mind, I love the game and I don't mind paying another 6 dollars, but I just think that this was a bit unfair. 1

Unfair indeed, however odd too as these developers, in my opinion, are far more customer focussed than any other ive dealt with which makes it awfully strange that a satisfying resolution could not be achieved for you. Strange indeed…must be more to it…surely
Velxra Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 Since this purchase was prior to 2018 I suspect these keys were likely caught up in the 1C crusade of proclaimed grey market purchases. I have no doubt some keys were bought in unpreferred means. But many people, including myself, were all tossed into that basket of having our property revoked without much evidence other than a accusation and told to buy it again. Many people I spoke to lost their planes after being gifted them like you were. It was a struggle for about a half year for most people to get their planes back using the very broken support system, as you found out. I know this is not exactly a solution to your issue. Though I hope it provides an answer. Your description fits perfectly with what happened in the community back in 2018 regarding grey market mass lists of blocked keys.
