There used to be an airshow act where a guy would transfer from an aircraft to a helicopter.  Of course he's dead now.

It'll be awesome if they succeed, but I wouldn't take their place...

The getting into the plane has been done before.

Red Bull pay these guys to do this stuff.

If they're not get unconscious in the attempt, they survive anyway. Planes 1 or 2 lost. But Red Bull pay for it

Next Red Bull stunt will involve explaining to the FAA why they went ahead with this after being told that they couldn't.

The FAA’s Decision

In consideration of the foregoing, I find that a grant of exemption would not be in the public
interest. Therefore, pursuant to the authority contained in 49 U.S.C. §§ 106(f), 40113, and 44701,
delegated to me by the Administrator, the petition of Luke Aikins for an exemption from 14 CFR
§ 91.105(a) is hereby denied.

Issued in Washington, D.C., on April 22, 2022.

Video from outside sources shows the aircraft that crashed in an inverted spin. The safety parachute deployed, but too late to prevent the aircraft from impacting nose first, and reducing itself to a kit of parts.

Even the guy who succeeded didn't look exactly safe, considering the proximity of the propeller as he grabbed the wing strut to climb in.
