Sopwith Triplane Airspeed Indicator error?

Recommended Posts

Maybe I'm missing some historical anomaly, but there seems to be error on the Tripe's airspeed indicator - it goes 80, 90, 100, 80, 120...

That's odd. On my rig it shows .... 80, 90, 100, 110, 120 .... correctly as it should.

Stranger than fiction - I'll take another look later...

Mine definitely has 80 where 110 should be.

Curious...

Might it be an illusion?
I can sort of see how it can be mistaken with 80 at a quick sideglance if the texture is a bit blurred or the shading is just right.

At the further out position, does it still look like an 8 if you turn your head sideways? If it clears into an 11 then you might have a touch of astigmatism.

This is the part where you post a screenshot.  Looking at photos of Sopwith cockpits, the character spacing looks correct.

Good point.

I'll try to work out how to do that.

Maybe it's a VR re-projection thing?

That was it!

From further back it looks like an 80, but on moving my head closer to the indicator it is 110.

Odd.

Not experienced anything like that before in VR.
