Oculus Quest keeps freezing/tearing and audio distorts on my shiny new PC...any suggestions?

Hi all, 

 

So just treated myself to a new PC (https://www.scan.co.uk/products/3xs-vengeance-pba-intel-core-i7-12700k-16gb-ddr4-8gb-asus-rtx-3070-ti-1tb-m2-ssd-win-11) and I have it playing through a Samsung 1440p ulltrawide monitor.

 

Ive always wanted to do flight sims via VR so I got myself a Quest....

 

Now when I load il-2 via SteamVR, the performance is awful. It breaks up a lot, the audio distorts and there are multiple freezes. Its unplayable in short. 

 

Ive downloaded the Oculus Tray Tool and had a play around with some forum recommendations but no luck. Can anyone help?
