I've owned 1946 for several years. These days I find I can't fly it because the nose bounce is so pronounced that I can't hit anything. I've tried playing with trim but I find that makes things so sluggish it's also impossible. I have loaded the B.A.T World at War mod, but can't find anything that gives me the smooth controls I get in IL-2 BOS or other flight sims. I'm wondering if the sim is just too old to handle Windows 10 and my X-52.

Hi,

have a look into the settings for the joystick. (controls, input or similar, sorry have installed german language)

You can define the "control strength" for each joystick axis.

In the conf.ini it looks so (my personal reduced elevator / aileron settings.

Sorry, screenshots don't works at the moment and I have only a german IL2 version installed.

from my conf.ini:

X=0 1 4 9 16 25 36 49 64 81 100 0 (X/Y is reduced by me)
Y=0 1 4 9 16 25 36 49 64 81 100 0
Z=0 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100  (Z is default)
