Question: Does anyone know how when Tactical Codes will work?

...So when do we need to start buttering up our resident skinners to start cracking out blank skins like the good 'ol IL-2 days?

I know you "insiders" are under NDAs but a general idea any skin will work

The Mustang already works.

 

I don't know when the rest of them will be implemented, but I am using them on new Campaigns I make and they will just get blank default skins until they magically appear sometime in the not too distant future.

 

If you want to play around with the different colors and such, just use the Mustang to test them in game.

I confirm that they also work on the Mosquito!

And also on the P51B.

 

It seems that any new plane since P51D has the tactical codes working.

Yes, that's correct. I believe the Tempest and Spit XIV also have them.

The Tempest does not work. Not checked yet the Spit XIV.

Nope the Spit XIV does not seem to work either. This was tested with default skins.

You are right, I did a test just now. The working Tactical codes are currently on the following:

 

P51B5

P51D-15

Mosquito MkVI

Typhoon Mk1b

Ju88-C6

 

Codes work regardless of country selection.

Left click in box to assign number or letter, right click in box to assign color.

The newer plane models do not delete codes if you change countries, so I would imagine they are closer to being functional than the older models like the P47D25 and the Hurricane which do delete the codes if you change the country. I have read that it is dependent on the dynamic damage model being in place for that plane.
