FTC_ChilliBalls Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Dear guys, I've been experimenting with getting fholger's VR Performance Toolkit to work in IL2 for a bit now. Only to find this claim in the issues: Quote Well IL2 do not like injectors in multiplayer games. They do not allow injector dlls like "dxgi.dll". I can't use vrperfkit in IL2 multiplayer which I still use the abandoned openvr_fsr since its dll named as openvr_api.dll. Is there a way to workaround this or simply rename the dxgi.dll. Is this true? Will I be banned for using this injector in MP?
pepper9881 Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 I have not seen people on this forum who have vrperfkit does not cause the game to freeze. If your system is so unique that everything works for you, can try it and tell us true or not?

No you won't be banned, if the game considers it an injector then it simply won't let you connect unless the server has the "allow injectors" option enabled.

If your system is so unique that everything works for you, can try it and tell us true or not? It does consistently crash. I just found that it crashes according to a pattern: 1) Game crashes on startup 2) Game crashes as soon as it renders a scene 3) Game works as intended. This repeats whenever I change any settings of the vrperfkit. I have only used FFR as of yet, which does require a GTX 16 series card or higher.
firdimigdi Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 (edited) Sounds like the discussion we had over the OpenXR toolkit and its unpredictable crashes which pepper pointed out seemed to be related to rendering order IIRC. Edited April 17, 2022 by Firdimigdi
