Why has a missile with CCCP markings appeared in the hanger?

This is unsettling, after spending weeks listening to Russia threaten the west with nuclear war.

Hah! Yes, I noticed it tonight - it's returned to my hangar also.

It's pretty poor taste, IMO.

Extremely poor taste and entirely tone deaf in light of present events. I literally have news about a Russian missile attack on a crowded train station on my TV as I type this. SMH...

And the mystery is solved... I actually find this quite amusing now I understand the context and significance. This game, and the forum also, never fail to entertain!

Ukrainian missile but this forum was supposed to stay away from these subjects right?

Shall we bring up all of the deaths caused by your lovely country over the last 20-30 years because they outstrip anything that anyone else has ever done in the last 40 years?

Yuri Gagarin - Wikipedia

The rocket comes into the hangar every year on Yuri Gagarin day.   It has everything to do with history and nothing to do with politics.

Northern Monkey has been ravaged by war? Well, when flinging feces is your only defense these things will happen.

In a WW2 hangar, that's history that hasn't happened yet.

How is swastica "the antonim (ie. the opposite) of capitalism". Fascism/nazism is a type of far right regime where government and industry are intertwined in their nefarious goals. The corrupt capitalism thrives in such conditions.

I suppose we could, if whatabout-ism's are the only rhetorical weapon you're armed with, Emil.

I'm struggling to see its resemblance to the Vostok.

All the symbols placed on the planes are historically accurate to the time period and the countries that flew them on their planes. The only exception is the 'modified' swastika which is made that way due to the laws of countries that don't allow the 'full' symbol to be shown in modern media such as television programs and video games.  The change had to be made if the developer wanted to sell their product in those countries.

That, and the Decepticons aren't real or historical and their emblem is trademarked by a different company so, not available to use.  My condolences for your discomfort.

Oooh, like Shanghai.

Just to get another current event tossed in here.

On topic, I was just playing and somehow didn't notice this big rocket.

Time to throw the Index back on and see it.

Havn't had the heart to fly this sim since the recent atrocity started. Mainly due to the hash order policies imposed here.

Oh come on. It's a computer game for pity's sake, and a damn good one at simulating all these machines and providing entertainment. Why can't people separate this product from politics... SMGDFH

I'd encourage you to just enjoy the product and put everything else aside. There are more machines coming thanks to this team. Are you not looking forward to the Mosquito?

I did look it up and unfortunately the encyclopedia failed to explain the connection between refusing to play a game you have already bought and moral superiority.

lol but I am glad you are "doing your part" I am happy for you if you are happy.

Also, this object was put into the hangar years ago and programmed to turn on for YG day and off for the rest of the year. Same thing with the Christmas tree. Definitely not a political statement and definitely not worth a patch to change.
