Blitzen Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 A couple of years ago I changed my Steam install location for GB and CloD, from The “C:” drive to “E:” where I had more room. Now I’ve cleared out the “C:” and want to move them back AND make sure future updates go to this location. You know what I’m going to say : I’ve forgotten how to do this.As I recall I need to go to Steam and hit each game for ta hedrop down and then hit “Properties” but then I’m not sure what to do next , not just “move location” but as I said make sure future upgrades from Steam would go to this new default location.A little help would be much appreciated- maybe this time I’ll write it down??
jollyjack Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Easiest but time consuming: disable current sturmovik folder (name change?) and do a fresh install. then copy your current old content over it, maybe not the ACCData folder, select overwrtite especally when files are different.TeraCopy is a nice tool for that.

Easy -but how to I make sure the new Steam install goes into my "C:" drive? I tried this last night and the new install still goes into my "E:" drive. It appears now as the default destination.

So if you move game in steam ( using move location you say) you only need to make C default location for downloads, and you do that by going in steam settings, select downloads, then steam librery folder, there you click on C and you see line showing amount of it use, on end of that line is option with ... that is settings where you can make that drive default one.

This was just the ticket, but the other responses were a help too. Thanks for brightening up my grey Seattle morning! 1
