343KKT_Kintaro Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 I know it's not a fact yet but TFS said that the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A1, A2 and A3 will be flyable in the next add-on and this will allow us to represent with more fidelity the operations "Cerberus" and "Jubilee" in the Channel map. I'm sorry but I'm not very good with the mission builder and I don't have the time to go digging through the files and folders looking for the Cerberus ships. So this is my query: do you know if the Prinz Eugen, the Scharnhorst and the Gneisenau are already modelled in the Dover series? What other ships from the Cerberus fleet are already modelled? (either British or German). Does TFS intend to model new ships for the reenactment of this operation of 1942?
Enceladus828 Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 (edited) Back in 2018 there were plans to include the Prinz Eugen, Scharnhorst and the Admiral Scheer in what would later be known as Desert Wings-Tobruk. In the video the Prinz Eugen and the Admiral Scheer look modelled, but it could be that TF didn't have enough modellers to entirely finish making those ships or they decided to wait until TF 6.0 (for Operation Cerebus) to add them into the game. In this link here it looks like the Nelson-class battleship was modelled but the 2 battleships were not very active off Libya and Egypt and instead off Malta and the Atlantic so my guess is that they decided to wait.: War Thunder Game Hub: Screenshots: WiP on Team Fusion update 5.0 (bobgamehub.blogspot.com) Edited April 8, 2022 by Enceladus It was the Admiral Scheer which was modelled, not the Scharnhorst 1
343KKT_Kintaro Posted April 8, 2022 Author Posted April 8, 2022 Thank you Enceladus, I didn't know this video of TFS, thank you. Your response partially answered my questions. My understanding is that, at the moment, we don't have these ships in the game.

Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted April 8, 2022 Team Fusion Posted April 8, 2022 Hello Encelados We never promised to include the KMS Scharnhorst in TOBRUK... it was never in the Mediterranean and never operated in the Channel till 1942... out of the range of the time period covered for the Channel map in TOBRUK. (November 1940-August 1941) Up until the time of the Channel Dash only Light Cruisers, Destroyers and smaller types operated in the Channel area... we have included those in TOBRUK. The British ships included also represent those which were active in the Channel Map area in 1940/41... neither the HMS Rodney or HMS Nelson were in the Channel in that time period... the anti invasion task force included light Cruisers and one older Battleship... which can be represented by one of our current TOBRUK British types. Rodney/Nelson didn't operate in the Med till 1942... again there were only the older types as represented in TOBRUK by HMS Warspite and the Revenge Class. As for TF 6.0, yes, we plan to include more ships, from both the Allied and Axis sides... can't say more at this point. BLITZ/TOBRUK includes more ship types than any other recent game... including the GREAT BATTLES series, or even IL-2 1946. And our ships types are more complex and detailed than any others. 1
343KKT_Kintaro Posted April 9, 2022 Author Posted April 9, 2022 Ok gentlemen, thank you for all of these clarifications. Dear Mysticpuma, thank so much for the video you made. I even enjoyed the music, ambient music I guess. 1
