Morning,

This doesn't really fit in any of the sub-forums so I will post it here for the moment. Is anyone running a Next Level Racing GT Track sim pit? I'm considering the non-moving sim pit with flight options but I'm concerned my MFG pedals will not fit on the pedal plate. The MFG's are a little over 18 inches wide. Anyone know how wide the interior measurements are for the vertical arms that hold the steering wheel deck? I've found a guy who hacked the rig for a center mount joystick which was my other desire/concern. I'm running Virpil gear and TiR5 for all of my other peripherals. All of the pedal pics I can find are narrower than the MFG's. You input and/or hacks are appreciated.

Hi Murph. Sorry I couldn't help sooner with this. Did you get it sorted?

I think your PM box is full too?

Mailbox is open again. Do you run a GT Track and MFG pedals?

I have the Next Level GTTrack, with TM pendular pedals (had the MFGs some years ago). The inside dimension is 18", the MFG are wider. So are the TM pedals but I have very long legs so the pedals are beyond the A-frame.

The metal pedal-plate is a liability, UNLESS you find some of the holes just happen to line up with your pedals. I went through a few lash-ups with screws and nuts and bolts until I binned it off and put in my own floor-plate (1m x 17.5" 18mm plywood).

The frame has three cross-members; rear, middle (just in front of the seat) and front. The front is higher than the middle, so I had to shim the middle.

If your legs are so short (or normal, lol) that you have to have the pedals inside of the A-frame you can omit it.

Thanks for the info. I have normal legs :)

I didn't know the A frame was a separate piece until you mentioned it. I just watched another video and now think may hack the A frame outside the base and try to make that work with some shims. The wheel plate looks like it could be a good spot for my keyboard. I really like the second pedal plate hack I saw earlier.

I also like your second mounting for your button box. I'm running all Virpil gear and was planning on a second set of flight pedestals as well.

Thank you so much for the reply. It has given me some much needed insight. I am ordering the GT Track as soon as I send this message off.

I did have the keyboard on the wheel-plate for a while but as it also sits nicely under the monitor I sacked that off.

The frame's steel is very soft and drills easily. ?

Current build. ?
