"Cover me" does not shoot flares any more

Before last update pilot order "cover me" was shooting flares. Now not any more.

 

That was really convenient, as I do not need several buttons for flares, especially in vr where I do not see keyboard (select flare gun, select color, shoot flare, put gun away).

 

Can you make it as it was before?

There was never supposed to be shooting of flares, because it was a holdover from Rise of Flight. Shooting a flare in the middle of WWII dogfight was a surefire way to draw unwanted attention on yourself.

Was always annoying. (in WW2 anyway)

Yes, removing the flare with the cover me order was the first step, well done devs.

 

Now, have the AI actually COVERING YOU when ordered to cover you.

I was not joking though, haha. You order your flight to cover you OR engage enemy fighters and there's no difference. They'll do whatever they please wether if its shooting you down while trying to steal your kill or fly straight doing nothing when shot at.

I've found it works....sometimes at least.
