Different weekend, but same idea. This was the result:

 

I also got a bit of the big dogfight at the end, but it didn't last long for me. My left engine was flamed and my rudder got taken out in the first pass, which led to a semi-controlled crash. With another day for editing I could put something together, but work won't let me....
