Is There Any Way to Purchase a (Very) Basic Account?

Hello all,

Just wondering out loud here; I've purchased maybe 80% of the products available for Great Battles so far but having just upgraded my PC, my seven year old is showing an interest in playing with me as a gunner on the old PC I just replaced. I feel I know the answer already, but is there any way I can get them to play along with me without having to pay another £40 for the base pack?

Not as far as I know. BoX doesn't have a free limited content version, so you'll need to buy him/her at least one of the DLCs I expect.

Well Yes.   Wait for a sale.  Battle Of Moscow/Stalingrad/Kuban/Bodenplatte are frequently (ie almost monthly and at least every quarter) sold for £20-£25.   All those are currently £25 if you use the 50% voucher in your account.

I have occasionally wondered, what happens if you try to buy only a collector plane on an account? Can you still run the game and only use that aircraft in MP? Or will you not be able to log in till you've bought a base module?

You would not have any game to run to go online in.   Every game includes all the aircraft but the collectors aircraft are locked so you can see other people flying them but you cannot fly them yourself.  Buying them just unlocks them within your game.

Buy a Stalingrad Account during one of the many sales events. Costs you less than a box of cigarettes. Usually around 7 EUR.

I don't know about anyone else, but i am looking forward to a 7 year old gunner videos. Sounds like fun! (My sone is 3.5 so I have a ways to wait  )
