DragonDaddy Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 I added a second ButtKicker to my basic office chair and am running SimShaker Wings in stereo. After some tweaking (with more to follow!), I am very pleased with the results. Here are my early impressions: *The overall feeling is very full and robust; much more than when using one ButtKicker in SimShaker Wings mono. The engine rumble is balanced and feels like it surrounds you. Because of the stereo, you can feel left and right sides. Each different aircraft feels dramatically different. You very much feel like you are in WWII era aircraft. *You know when you’re taking damage! You better feel bullet hits and damage to engines and control surfaces. The more damage you take, the more pinging, shuddering and rumbling you feel. *G-Force and stalling feel more obvious and a bit stronger, in a good way. You feel more like you are surrounded by the “warnings” your aircraft is sending you. *Landing gear, flaps, airbrakes and weapons discharge feel like they effect the entire aircraft. When I was using mono they felt like they were coming from a small area. *Left/ right side stereo effects are good but I’m doing some tweaking to see if I can get them to be more defined. Overall, SimShaker Wings stereo seems very well optimized for using two ButtKickers. There are many sound files that are divided into left/ right side. Little adjusting is needed but there is plenty you can do to get the response you prefer. I am just starting to dabble with Audacity to see what can be modified to further the stereo effects. Thank you Andre for a fine piece of software. May this time find you safe and well. 2 1 3
Donik Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 I assume you just have them mounted to the center post? One oriented left and the other right?

paul_leonard Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 Can you explain how you cabled your setup? Do you have a splitter from one soundcard to two amplifiers? I run one Buttkicker Gamer plus a JetSeat so already a mess of wires. On another note, Buttkicker is releasing two new Gamer models, the Plus and the Pro due in May. Thanks
DragonDaddy Posted March 29, 2022 Author Posted March 29, 2022 paul_leonard: Yes, I have a splitter coming off my computer’s onboard sound output. I have two ButtKicker amps; one connected for right channel, one connected for left channel. To achieve this, one jack is connected to “input” on each amp. 2
