Really well done. I especially like the green highlights for superior and red for inferior. Any plans to add boost speeds to the comparisons? I know that starts to get granular, but would be interesting.

All max speeds are boost speeds (in planes where is it possible).

Thanks for your suggestion.

So, there will be a "button" for example:
Emergency datas/MW-50/Boost?
Example the FW-190s/G-6Late/Spit IX etc. climb rates are in combat mode. :)

But, still good work!!!!!
Keep it up!

I think it can be done in a future release.

For now I have added a new version with small changes to the graphical interface, improvements and various fixes

Hi,

I noticed a couple of possible bugs with this latest version:

1. Each time the app is opened, a file called Veteran Typewriter.ttf populates on the desktop.

2. I can no longer have 2 instances of the app open (get an error message) at the same time to compare aircraft from the same nation.

Regards,

Scott

The app can not be opened in two instances because the program already makes use of the font and does not allow another use.

Yes I know. The font is a graphic embellishment of the program's interface. The price to pay is the growth of the font in the folder where the program resides. I recommend launching the executable from a folder of your choice, so you will have the desktop clean.?

I'll work on a version that hide the font and clear it when app closes.

Hello Marcobona,

Thank you for the quick reply!

It would be nice if more than 1 instance of the app could run at the same time, however, if that is not possible, I understand.

Scott

No way with this "special font" version. But if you prefer, I'll add a "default font" version that allows the possibility of having multiple open instances of the program.

If it's not too much trouble that certainly would be appreciated!

Ok. Bugs fixed. Now Version with old style Veteran Typewriter font allows multiple instances and no longer generate the font file in the folder where the program resides.

More, added in the Bodenplatte scenario the airfield "Melsbroek" that hosts british B-25D and A-20B.

Hello everyone.

I need the help of the community to collect some in-flight data from sim planes. In particular data such as maximum speed and climb rate at different altitudes in combat mode and emergency / boost mode. Data must be collected in standard flight conditions, with full tank of fuel and basic armament. I can start collecting those of the planes available to me, but for all those of Battle of Normandy I need you.

It's a huge job, but if divided among many you can do. Thanks for every info you can give me.

I just downloaded this app in "ancient typewriter characters font". Very well done and very useful. Many many thanks marcobona to share this app that I find very useful. It is a tremendous work that has been done and it allows to quickly get and compare plane characteristics, which otherwise are mentioned in the game but cannot be extracted as such and easily accessed, let alone compared. Mille grazie.

S!,

Just curious why the max weight on the Spit XIV is less than the standard weight? 3803 vs 3863. Am I missing something?  Is data ripped from the game or is this just a data entry error?

Standard Weight 3863 is a data taken from the forum, Max Weight 3803 is a data taken from real tables. It's weird, isn't it?

Last night I was flying with a bf-109E in standard conditions: sunny weather, no wind, altitude 100 meters s.l., full of fuel with basic armament. I detected different speeds in combat mode and emergency mode, but this can be there. The surprising part is that redoing the simulation in the same conditions but with 20% fuel and without armament the speeds were lower!

That's why I asked for the help of the community to collect real data "in flight" of the simulator. Every info is appreciated.

Good info in the program, easy to compare.  Is there any way to get a comparison between given countries, like on a plane to plane basis? I frequently fly "what-if" scenarios, where different allied countries are now pitted against each other (for example, Finnish Hurricanes vs Russian aircraft, or a 1946 scenario which pits the US/Germany against Russia).

Thanks in advance

I like this idea and I can find a way, but I need more info, such as the name of all the nations and the planes they use, as well as the historical period in which they operate. Obviously all limited only to the simulation. Where can I find this info? Can you help me?

Just saw this now, the short answer is of course, but I think you already have the info embedded in the app.  What is needed is a global country select independent of what the compare selection is.

So for example, on one side we have the axis (Germany and Italy), and on the other side, the allies (Brit, US, Russia).  If you made it so that each side (Left or right) could select ANY country, then a direct comparison could be made, even between the same country if the same country was selected on each side.  I believe it would just be a simple lookup on the same table. The coded links should be the same for the historical time period, as I think the time period selection acts as a de facto filter for the results.

I truly believe all the necessary info is already there in the app as it stands right now.  The only thing that needs to happen is to allow all of the countries on each side of the main screen area, allowing a direct comparison.

@WWDarkdiz. Sorry but I still do not understand. You would like a direct confrontation between nations of what? Of the forces in the field? Because you already have a comparison between the forces in the field of each nation in the scenario. Can you give me a more specific example?

 I'll wait your answer. Thanks

I think he's meaning like being able to compare a Bf-109 F2 with a Bf-109 F4, since you can't compare German planes with other German planes right now if that makes sense. Anyhow, I would like to be able to do that too to make it easier to see differences between different versions of the same plane. I love your app though dude, its really helpful as it is now.

Great app. Thanks for creating it. Would it be possible to make the cockpit window maximisable (and the pictures in it)? I'm no spring chicken and, from where I sit, I have a hard time reading the dial legends. Thanks.
