Sun is too huge and blots out a 1/3 of the sky since 4.703

There is definitely something wrong with the Sun now.   Even in non-VR.   It blots out 1/3 of the sky for me since the last patch.   My friends say it's the same as before, but on my setup at least the area it's blots out is now far too large.  Multiple people were complaining about it last night.   Also, the zoom feature seems to have an unnatural effect on the size of the area whited out.   I've been skiing at altitudes similar to many flights in IL2 and the IL2 Sun was already too large before 4.703.  Now it's just ridiculous.  We really need this fixed.    Also an option for the pilot to own a pair of sunglasses or dark visor/lenses for his headgear would be very useful.

Well about the sun, even if you are not looking direcly at it is... Very annoying IRL. So maybe some sunglasses or something would be ok, problem is how would be affecting the spotting

Not sure if it helps anyone at all and it's WIP as well but here is a draft updated version of the old sun size correction mod the people I fly with have been using for the past few days. Seems to tone it down for us but none of us use VR. Anyway not fully tested and WIP as I said but for whatever it's worth to you.............

It's pretty wild in VR. If there was one benefit, flying into the sun really does blind all those behind you.  But the glare may be a bit much.

Still borked in the HP Reverb G2 with an Nvidia 3080 XRT TI. I have to turn down the in-game graphics. Many people had to turn of HDR making the game look dead. Not a good update when I have to take 20 steps back in graphic's settings just to void going blind.
