Does it seem to anyone else that the recent update improved performance?

I had things running so that i could get a reliable 120fps on high with a few extras, using vsync to reduce tearing.

Since the most recent update, i seem to be getting more fps and turned up some landscape options and still getting 120fps no problem, also seems to be running smoother, though that could be due to my setting the dx shader cache to unlimited.

Anybody else seeing an increase in performance?

 

This update kind of threw me, not used to playing games that deliver updates that actually improve the game

Yes I've felt the same - I have a 9700k, 2080ti running at 3440-1440 and the entire sim feels smoother. In addition, my GPU has a lower core load. Perhaps the new skybox is more efficiently rendered?

Yeah that might be it. I wonder if the lighting changes had an effect.

I seem to be getting slightly better performance.

Certainly not seeing any worse performance here. Everything very smooth. And happy about that as I was prepared for a slight hit based on Jason's comments about the new sky in one of the DDs.
