Launcher 200KB/s download won't go up anymore after 30 seconds of downloading at full speed.

I just bought the game and am down to play it very enthousiastic even, but is this some sort of early april fools joke?

 

But for real for a second, what is causing this?

 

I have seen many posts about people with the exact same issue saying vpn could fix it but it doesn't for me.

 

Just to clarify my reasons for buying it on the website i/o on steam:

 

1: i am not interested in BoS

2: i want to fully support the devs.

 

 

EDIT: Ignore the high ping, this is due to trying it on a vpn after having the issues without one aswell.

 

Okay, i managed to download it by constantly when the download speed dropped to 200KB/s closing the launcher -> switching vpn server, and reopening it, rinse and repeat.

 

It would be very much appreciated by me and i am sure aswell from the community if this could be looked into
