If any1 also can throw quick explanation why it doesn't work in VR would be gratefull - want to know how the VR image is done VR HMDs are not exposed to the GPU driver in the same manner screens are so none of the things you can affect with that utility would carry over to VR. 1

I used to have that turned on, but with this update on Ultra and Cloud Quality maxed out I don't need it anymore. Yep, I use the Deband.fx filter. It does help to reduce the banding effects to some extent, but doesn't eliminate them completely, still very obvious when flying through dark clouds.

I'm guessing you play single-player when mentioning deband.fx from reshade. Have you tried Vr Enhancer mod? It removes cloud banding completely and you also get a lot of other tools to finetune your vr experience. Mostly basic stuff I think VR users should have access to, like monitor players. Shame is for Vr its locked for online play, stuff like that always tend to get abused in the end to get an upper hand in mp so I fully agree that it shouldn't be accessible.
nozedyve Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 Single player only at this stage. Thanks for the tip, I'll give the VR Enhancer mod a go, looks like some of the features are applicable to monitor players, such as this one ... FIX 12 Sun halo is masked by airframe + cloud debanding + other little fixes Set on by default. Can be set in menu MISC. page, line "Graphic improvement" Sounds promising!
von_Tom Posted March 22, 2022 Posted March 22, 2022 (edited) Dusk. Extreme clouds. I've also noticed that light through the cockpit glass is very different. This isn't the best image but there is a noticeable difference - more so in VR rather than from a screenshot. Late afternoon. von Tom Edited March 22, 2022 by von_Tom
