Hi. I’m most likely not the first person to ask these question below.

 

What will Team Fusion do next after Desert Wings Tobruk?

Where will they go? They could do

• El Alamein  
• Tunisia
• Algeria (1942)
• Greece & Crete (1941)
• Malta 
• Northern France & Benelux (1940)
• Southern France - Operation Dragoon (1944)
• Chinese Theatre
• Some parts of the Pacific Theatre (Great Battles would do other parts) 
• Burma
• Somewhere else?

When would that be?

Sorry, I thought this was for some reason because I clicked on the Cliffs of Dover Section.

We do know that TF 6.0 will cover Channel map operations in 1942 and also include Operation Cerberus.

 

My theory is that TF 6.0 will also cover El Alamein as TFS will continue the Desert War into late 1942 and likely would cover Rommel's retreat after El Alamein (a central Libya map as well). 

The main map will probably be Malta as that's both something new which the flight sim community hasn't seen before and which would be appealing to players. 

 

Maybe a Greece and Crete map for TF 6.0

 

Buzzsaw mentioned a while ago that Tunisia wouldn't be in TF 6.0, and with that I also doubt we'll get Operation Torch but you never know.

 

I feel Operation Dragoon would, China and Burma would happen later.

 

There was talk that TFS could include a few Japanese planes as well as Japanese warships in the game and perhaps an area which doesn't overlaps IL-2 GBs' plans... if 1C approves it.

Looking back at that thread I would remove the Ju-52, CANT Z 506 and CANT Z 1007 from that list (perhaps one of them would be included in a later installment). I would add the Martin Baltimore to that list because it saw considerable action in the Mediterranean.

 

For ships I'd add the Nelson Battleships, HMS Renown, HMS Illustrious, HMS Eagle (and maybe USS Wasp), the Town or Dido light cruiser, modified-Leander class light cruiser (HMAS Sydney?) and maybe another destroyer class

For the Italian ships I'd add the Littorio Battleship, Trento Heavy cruiser, Condottieri light cruiser and Soldati destroyer.

 

P.S. these are just suggestions/my opinions, nothing has been leaked to me.

Yes, but in the existing map, not in the map which is under development for the theatre of operations that corresponds to the 6.0's add-on. If I'm correct the latter will be a completely new map in the Dover series.

I admit that all of this is too much speculation for me. When it comes to talk about the new add-on I simply don't know what's next in the game. We know we'll have three subvariants of the A variant : subvariants A1, A2 and A3 (put a "Fw 190" before every "A"... and you'll get it). Other than the Focke-Wulf, I know nothing about the next module.

Carrier operations are possible in this game, though, apparently, they are not yet ready. If development doesn't stop in the next ten years, I'm pretty sure that sooner or later we'll have the Torch landings in this game (v. 8.0, or v. 9.0, who knows).

I can tell you that the Pacific is basically not really likely to happen, I don't see it at this point. We are probably looking at continuing the existing planeset and moving it forwards into another environment, another time period further on. So, basically, this game goes up until June of 1942 in the desert and August of 1942 for the Channel map, so we are looking at moving it forward from there on the Channel map, definitely, into the rest of the Summer of 42, the Fall of 42 and the Winter of 42, so for the Channel map... and then another map which as I said I'm not at the liberty to specify at this point. But another map that we think would be of interest of players, and that would be, I think, something new that they haven't seen before, so that's basically as far as I can go.

Yes, a lot of water has passed under the bridge since you opened that thread (four years), and now we know those three planes will not be in the Dover series, not before a loooooooong ti... well, you got it.

A Pacific expansion is not in Team Fusion's plans.  We are focused on Europe and the Mediterranean.
