There are two things that I have noticed about the pilots which could be corrected.

1) The pilots arm's don't seem to move when you look into the cockpit from the outside and you move your joystick/arrow keys. If this is corrected, players would be further satisfied with the game's realism.

2) When a pilot ejects from their downed plane, they sometimes land and stay put in a dangerous area instead of move away. For example, the pilot may land next to it's downed aircraft while it is on fire. This should be fixed because it would give the pilot some common sense when you are not in control of it.

Both of these things are too minor to pour time and resources into 'fixing' IMO. I mean, when was the last time you got close enough to another plane while it was maneuvering to notice that the pilot's arms weren't moving?

Oh, I was meaning your own plane when you look at the exterior while you’re flying.

Let me get this right... When you 'look' IN from the outside and move the joystick (which is on the INSIDE, for simulation purposes) then the pilot's ARMS don't move in tandem with YOUR movements of the stick?... in a Flight Simulator??

Mmmmmm.... right.

Before they 'fix' the non-moving arms (lol) we'd prefer our pilots not to drown when they land by 'chute in six inches of water on a river-bank.

In the sea, life-vest/dinghy.

The water issue is a major one imho.

If it comes at performance cost and slower development time of more important things and content....than i'm all for it ??

I wouldn't mind seeing a shadow cast from the pilot on the outside wings someday, but not a huge deal.

The pilot that is not sitting in the seat?

Our planes are piloted by ghosts

Completely extra, but I'd like to see them animate the pilot getting out of the airplane when it's on the ground (either landed or crashed), even if it's literally the canopy opening and a guy spawning next to the aircraft and running from it.  It always feels silly to ditch the plane and then just sit there without any way out besides ending the mission.  The tank crews already bail out so I wouldn't imagine it would take too much to do.

Well... I like this idea myself - it'd be pretty cool if adding animations to the cockpits paved the way for having a 3d body in the cockpit. This was something I didn't want (just gets in the way of seeing the controls) until I tried the mod - and it did increase immersion a lot.

However, one of the issues is that each aircraft has a different length and range of motion for the controls... which means that they'd have to rig every aircraft (and there are a lot). It would appear to be a minor change - but it'd undoubtedly take quite a bit of time and money.

P.S. I also agree that the original Il-2 made more sense - where pilots would run away from a burning plane after crash-landing.

Actually man, I would prefer it if the devs fix the issue where when the pilot parachutes into a body of water they don't sink like a stone and instantly die, as well as make it so that if you crash land and are on fire or have ditched into water then the pilot is able to exit their aircraft like in TC or just make it so that if you're in that situation the pilot doesn't die.

With an option to keep it all in first person perspective, please.

With the 'Pilot in Cockpit' mod it is there and I read it somewhere, that it is possible to activate the shadow somehow without the mod.

You can also select a he111, and look at the pilot do all this movements to your hearts content...

Even the toebrakes work!

Did you notice the instrument panel is also different than what it should be as well? I you are looking from the outside in, that's not immersion.

I believe when you do hand gestures, you will see it.
