Career mode, free hunting missions are bugged

Mode : Career

Map: Stalingrad, Summer 1942

Player's plane: Me-109F4, wingman.

Mission: a rotte of 2 Me-109F4 will run a free hunting ("freie jagd") mission on enemy front.

Bug description: after arriving to waypoint 3, rotte's leader starts circling around at nearly stall speed (230-250 km/h), endlessly. Even after all other flights have landed, it is keeping circling. No "Mission accomplished" sign is shown, he turns and turns tighly until running out of fuel. See a picture of my mission record as a wingman, following my leader, enclosed.
Solution proposed: after circling at patrol spped (450 km/h for 109F4, not at 230 km/h) for, let's say, 20 min, leader gets back home and lands.

Comments:  It happens the same in Moscow map with Me-109E7 planes.

I understand "Free Hunting" mission can be boring as it is a matter of just patrolling an area, no problem with that, but it is nonsense to do it in a 109F4 by circling at stall speed infinitely until out of fuel. One just has to give up and go back home leaving, Rottenfuhrer there alone.

 

Please fix this bug. It is really a game breaker. Thanks in advance.
