I can't get "views" right on my stick.  I want a snap Left 90 deg, Right 90 deg, Up, down, back and then automatically back to standard front view using my hat switch and I CAN'T make it work.

Do I use pilot head movement for this?  Do I use camera controls?

Can someone list what words I should see when I set the pilot view at each side, back, top?

Help.  Lost

If I remember well, it's head movement you have to use.

Look for the numbers on your numpad, they are the ones that are default ingame for head movement positions.

You can then assign the different positions on your hat switch.

Hope this helps.

Have a nice day.

thank you.

how exactly would the numbers used for the game help me set up the hat switch.?   Wouldn't I need something like x axis 135?

go to the settings section, scroll down to the section/sections that deal with view control and search for the factory settings by looking for the key pad number.

hence if key pad 6 makes you look out the right side of the cockpit, then when you see the button option for key pad six you can make a new control tag for it using the hat switch

Can you tell me specifically how to do that?  Usually if you can't hit it with a hammer , I can't fix it.

wouldn't hitting the hat switch in that box that has the key number, erase the key "6" and put the axis # in it instead?

when you get to the setting screen, you see lots of little boxes, some have a key in them. others in that row will be EMPLY,,, all you need to do is click the mouse on one of those empty boxes, and follow teh directions to make a new setting,   THIS method saves all key bindings.

So....add a new Joystick command in the next column. leave original where it is?  I have been doing that but for some reason all I get is a full right pan all the way to the back with no self centering, an up view, and at some command I get a down view as if the pilot wanted to check the shine on his shoes.  I cant get diagonal views at all.
