SpifireMkIXe 485 (NZ) Squadron D-Day to late 1944

A few SpitfireMkIX from the 485th squadron
they're all model MkIXe except the number 'NH432' wich was a model MkIXc with modified wings (the 20mm guns were moved to the outer bays and a 50 caliber MG was installed inboard). This plane was completely destroyed on the tarmac during the operation 'Bodenplatte'.
I found informations about the number 'MK897' with the partial D-Day stripes but I assume that this plane was probably used during D-Day so I've made
another version.
If someone got pictures of some more MkIXe from the same unit, I could add a little more of them (I've found some MkIXc but the wing are different)
happy flying

merci Pat.... I add a lot of stuff (and redraw a lot of things too) to get the more realistic rendition (in my opinion) but there is still room for improvement I think

it is the occasion to ask again : if someone can get pictures of Mark IXe from the same unit, I'll be happy to make more skins of this unit (I don't know why but it is very difficult to find picture s of the SpitfireMkIXe)

I agree, it is in fact a spitfire MkXVI, Canadian production of the MkIX this spitfire is very beautiful but entered into operation only in October 1944 in certain units only.
this explains the small number of photos available

I don't only count for the future BON card and the BOPB card.  a Spitfire Lf IXc would be welcome especially as it wouldn't be a lot of work since the IXe already exists.

J'ai peut-être ça, je te tiens au courant.

I may have that, I'll keep you informed.

I'm a 100% with you marco about the MkIXc version (I've found a lot more informations about that plane.

thanks Pat (I've already found some informations about few planes for the 411st squadron but I'd like to do more of this beautifull bird)

Sorry, je n'ai trouvé que des photos avec vue serrée sur le cockpit, impossible de faire des skins à partir de ça.

Sorry, I only found photos with a tight view of the cockpit, impossible to make skins from that.

merci pour la tentative Pat mais c'est clair que même en grattant partout, j'ai rien trouvé

thanks for the attempt Pat but it's clear that even scratching everywhere, I found nothing

I had made some skins of spit XVI but we are quickly limited.

some spit IX cliped wings received pointed rudders to improve the yaw stability of the summer of 1944

The only way is to regularly insist on having a LFIXc
