Key mapping issue Honeycomb controls

I am having a problem mapping Honeycomb engine controls. I map the controls in the entry screen general menu and everything functions properly. The controls bind with the control levers and all the sweeps show the separate controls are functioning properly. However, when I move into the cockpit the throttles work, but they are ganged together with the RPM and the mixture and RPM levers do not work at all. When I go into the key mapping menu inside the aircraft, the mixture and RPM controls refuse to function at all, the sweeps are frozen and do not respond, despite showing correct mapping. Yet the entry screen menu still shows controls are working properly as mapped. Why two menus and why do they function differently?  How do I get the aircraft mapping menu to respond in the same manner as the general menu in the entry screen?
