jollyjack Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 (edited) I like to use Alt-F2 camera positions, especially with FC, view set forward above the pilots head, chasing the boogie men. However it seems that there is a bug, not always though. It seems to switch spontaneously and not by me often to F1 cockpit view, sometimes when triggering the main weapons on my warthog joystick. Checked all my settings, no double F1 view set anywhere. Is this a bug; it only happened after update 4,702c. It's seems to happen with all planes ... win 10 x64 enterprise, latest updates etc. game runs fine BTW. Edited March 10, 2022 by jollyjack
jollyjack Posted March 9, 2022 Author Posted March 9, 2022 (edited) BUMP. After a DDU cleaned fresh NVDIA drive installation with another now 3080ti NVDIA GPU, and also avoided all NVIDIA Experience stuff explicitly. Still the same behavior. Edited March 9, 2022 by jollyjack
IckyATLAS Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 I have a complete Warthog system and had this issue long ago. I did solve it through the programming of the Warthog and the changes on the key settings and function bindings inside BOX game. If you look at the key setting they often have multiple effects, so you have to clean this and sometimes change the keys to have single effects. 1
jollyjack Posted March 9, 2022 Author Posted March 9, 2022 (edited) Thanks, checked that and just again, reloaded an old input folder, still the same. Guess i'll have to check the input.map folder manually or reset the lot to default. Added; set to default ... still the same behavior ... Edited March 9, 2022 by jollyjack

If you use the Warthog Throttle and Joystick, you must program these with the keys as they are set in IL2. But sometimes in IL2 keys have multiple functions. You must modify the key settings in IL2 to separate the functions with other keys and then properly program how they are activated in Warthog.
jollyjack Posted March 9, 2022 Author Posted March 9, 2022 (edited) ADDED and changes: next day again the errors; i found (again) 2 broken wires in the base unit ...probably the reason: they use a single cored flat cables; just not up to the stress involved IMO .. found this, maybe interesting? jollyjack Posted March 11, 2022 Author Posted March 11, 2022 (edited) Got a new (not free) Warthog base unit now, after also sending mails to Thrustmaster; Their support said they will forward matters to the designers and hopefully find a solution for a more sturdy or flexible wiring for the base. Reinforcing the single cored flat cable IMO will not solve it as the remaining bending area will even get more stress. That's what happened after my base unit was fixed the first time ...
