410 cockpit so sexy.

That Cockpit is gorgeous, I can't wait to see it in action!

Did anyone ever confirm what loadout options we'd be getting?

Only the BK-5 has been shown. They were researching the SB-1000 (but no confirmation but that does suggest will get the A-1 in bomber configuration as well). The A-1/U1 with two extra MG-151/20 in the bomb-bay is also a pretty safe bet I think. Underwing rockets are plausible.

As for the trials with Flak-43, Mk-103 - they are less likely. As is the single seat conversion (even though photos for it and some performance data survive).

It'd be really interesting to get confirmation on what will be included though!

Grow up. People we work with are in danger as is my entire team. This isn’t about your freedom, but that of my team and right now they are not. We are forced into a horrible situation. Just knock it off or I’ll be forced to close the whole forum.

The Me-410 cockpit looks great; I'm looking forward to flying this 'younger sister' to the Bf-110 Zerstörer.

I would imagine there's not a whole lot of reference material (let alone remaining museum examples) of the relatively obscure Me-410.

There are actually at least two pristine examples in museums, one at NASM awaiting restoration and the other at RAF Cosford

I'm just going to check to see if the deep winter remains blueish at appropriate times of day - one thing about Russian devs which we Canadians appreciate - they tend to be much better at evoking winter deep within the continent (and doing so relatively accurately) than a lot of devs from other parts of the world (e.g. California). The blue tinting many patches ago was brilliant. P.S. For those still sceptical snow is white and glassy (i.e. lots of tiny reflective crystals) and the sky is blue... so you do get this reflective blue tint that a lot of auto-whitebalance cameras remove but which is very real on all but the most overcast conditions!

‘Having been a resident of the Ardennes for several years, I am extremely familiar with the conditions you speak of as well as the actual conditions one has to endure in the “forest”.  What we have doesn’t even come close, but I’ll take what I can get.  If the Moscow map could get deciduous and coniferous trees than why couldn’t the BOBP map - you know what I mean?  So, I use a mod.  But it’s nowhere near the same as the large swaths of Fir Tree Forests the Ardennes is know for……but I ramble……. We get great clouds and a great new sky and lighting….. I’m happy…..but I could be happier with just a little more……

There are TWO surviving Me410s.  There is a Me410A-1/U1 in the National Air Space Museum's Paul E. Garber facility.  This unit was captured in Aug, 1943 in Sicily.  The NASM aircraft is currently in storage, awaiting restoration.  The other is a Me410A-1/U2 at the Royal Air Force Museum in Cosford.  This unit was captured in Denmark in 1945 and was restored to running condition in 1986.

Cheers,

Dammit, i want that 88 C-6! Finally i can have dive bombing and other ground attack missions in career mode with 88 instead of just level bombing. 410 looks beautiful as well and might become my favorite twin engine German plane.

does this mean the Me410 is coming next ?

I definitely get that! I really liked how they had the biome/ecozone transitions in Moscow. I do hope that someday the BoBP map may be updated (perhaps a partnership with some volunteers, maybe for a tenth anniversary edition or something - who knows? Certainly the massive improvements to Cliffs of Dover's maps that are just being shown for the first time this past week give some hope)! In any case, I appreciate the railyards.

P.S. You've got me quite curious about what the Ardennes are like on the ground.

I'm not sure that is meant to be a mirror below the gunsight, I think that is a artifact of how the pit is being rendered in the modeling software, and that is meant to be the convex lens of a telescopic sight.

The Me-210A-1 cockpit is weirder than I realised (and I already knew about the triple gunsights) - does anyone know if we'll get more options for the pilot gunsight (e.g. ability to delete the telescopic one)?

Agreed. Weird in a good way, but still. Very weird. I also imagine certain lighting at certain times of day will play havoc with all the interior canopy reflections.

The other question, I'm sure, on everyone's mind:

Where's the cockpit photo going to fit? I don't see a viable location.

The A-4 is the dive bomber, it has dive brakes. The C-6 does not have the air brake or dive recovery system

Well that makes more sense.

99.9% of pictures online show the cockpit version with the empty gap in the middle, but this one here shows that is indeed the convex lens of some optic system:

Among everything else everyone has mentioned, I am looking forward to seeing how much faster the Ju-88 C-6 is because of it's better aerodynamics- no exterior bomb racks (at least without that option), no dive brakes (I've read that ground crews would remove them for extra performance anyway wherever they weren't needed for the mission), no front turret gunner, and optionally- the single rear turret (as opposed to the dual upper turret that we're used to).  Anything else I'm missing?  While some of these things are small, I feel like all of them combined could make a real difference in top speed due to less drag / better aerodynamics.

The C-6 will be able to catch the Po-2 and C-47 in level flight.  The B-25 will be able to walk away from it however if it puts on a bit of speed.

wiki says 488km/h at 5300m for C-6 vs 470 at 5300 for A-4

That Me 410 cockpit looks great!
I have two suggestions based on my research:
1. Both of the gunner's side Revis had their power cables first led to the outside, then fixed to the backside of the mount (not in the front side like on the renders where it could jam).
I attached my drawing and some archive photos:
Me_210_Ca-1_Gunner_left_drawing.thumb.jpg.76039d76d4f56a352dfff8a57d84c2aa.jpgMe_210_Ca-1_Gunner_left.thumb.jpg.708d32d3fc29190d033f202e45676c1d.jpgMG131_001C.jpg.a2429a7dd68100543e50a850b65a634c.jpg

2. Based on the Me 410 Handbook and technical datas (and hungarian built Me 210 Ca-1 plans) the manifold presure gauge was rotated 90° CCW due cable management issues of the instrument panel. I know the restored Me 410 in Cosford has this instrument upright, but I prefer to rely on the original handbook and photos. Although the attached photo is a bit blurry, the "ata" label is on the right side of the gauge (this should be on the bottom if the gauge is vertical) and the needle at the default 1.0 ata position shows clearly that the gauge was rotated:

Be interested to see how the ME410 rear gunner works with the sight & the way the guns were designed to move.
