Distortion in game

Sorry, likely a newbie question. 
Non Steam install, G2 reverb. 
Never before, but now once I get to game menu, there is a distortion where the square menus are trapezoidal as if rotated away from me. In the cockpit viewpoint normal but again a horizontal rotational effect: the struts appear to be different distances away and gunsight is cockeyed. 
this does not happen in the steam home or windows MR. 

Not sure where the adjustment is require. Any guidance appreciated.

There is some WMR setting that switches the preference between quality or performance. Can you try switching that then restarting all applications?

Switched from performance to quality and all was well. Don’t begin to understand why but thank you muchly!
