Thank you for all the screenshots published these days, Pattle. I hope they'll contribute to keep calm those members in the community who were eager to see the advancement of the TFS work.

 

Channel map and Tobruk map are on their way to full 4k resolution and this is fine. The secondary dogfight maps are of lesser importance obviously... but what about these latter? Will the "online maps" go to 4k resolution as well?

Trying to keep track of where updates are being posted. 

Anyway, now we have an official thread, may I ask the following. 

The 4K texture update is most welcome. Can I ask a question though about the airfields. 

Here is an actual image of a WW2 airfield in Tobruk. As can clearly be seen it looks very lived in. The surrounding area has weathering where cars and trucks, even aircraft have travelled around, out and into the base. 

Would this or is this something that TFS may or are considering in regards to making the sim more authentic?

That is the plan. Trying to make both maps have that lived in feeling with more natural surroundings.

I think the issue here is that the A.T.A.G. forum is home for Team Fusion, what is needed are a dedicated set of moderators with the necessary powers to make the changes that are so necessary based here where it is sold, I for one find things very difficult to find and rely on you to post so I am reminded where any thread was/is.

 

For me visuals and V.R. are not the primary updates I look for, game play alterations are what is sorely needed to actually make folks out there sit up and take notice again but anything that showcases on going work is of interest to me while I live in hope I will one day learn to love this particular sim, sadly health issues keep me away from the flying stuff a lot these days so I feel maybe time ran out for me.

 

With more attention paid by the team to what happens here they can and should keep hope alive as I think all those who play the Great Battles series are also the people who are in many respects those who have bought into Tobruk besides those who were with it from the beginning and it is those who will be needed to provide the cash flow to sustain the progress of Blitz/Tobruk and give the team some return for the effort they have put in over the years.

Hello Varrattu, yes I am aware of that but what I was thinking of is more someone with a interest just to moderate and clean up the threads to leave the team itself free to do the sim work but also with authority from them to post certain things such as updates, preferably someone neutral who does not antagonize unnecessarily those looking in who might make suggestions or critique of the sim, a individual or two just to sort the day to day stuff of keeping order here in this section and helping those with a interest to find and sort through what is already posted.

 

Maybe Mysticpuma himself might do it if he has not burnt too many bridges with the team as he is also in a position to look at things dispassionately while being a enthusiast and makes great movies also that show the best aspects of the sim to the wider community.

It won't hurt taking German bombers on air either.
