what determines the exact point an enmy vehicle is destroyed?

 

what determines the exact moment a person is given credit for the kill?

 

im tired of damaged planes getting poached by someone else simply because i didnt pump them up with 20mm HE... 

Im tired of bombed vehicles not gettign added to my mission. 

 

If i just could get an idea of what moment they get added i could be more pro active
