Both Rise of Flight and ILYA Muromets have this feature, small simple gauges that show certain settings, these are available in all difficulty modes including Expert by pressing Ctrl+I

So it makes sense that BoS will probably have this as well.

This.  I found a CH quad on eBay for $80 not long after I got the Warthog (and I got a fairly early one), and it's been an indispensable addition for a fraction of what the 'hog cost.  Two trim levers, prop pitch, mixture, water rads, and oil/cowl rads.  Instant tactile feedback.  

 

Now if the bloody ProFlight stuff would work as DirectX buttons I'd buy the switch panel for all the breakers in DCS.  Not sure what the Saitek people are smoking, making their niche equipment so niche nobody in the combat sim community can buy it.
