harlikwin Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 So. I have 3 joysticks (Virpil, VKB, and TM) I can get the game to see them in the sense I can click the map axis button, and move the stick and the axis assigns. However for the Virpil and TM, they don't work in game, and if I go to the "tune axis" button, nothing in there moves at all. VKB stick is "fine" except for the fact I don't want to use for IL2 as it doesn't have enough buttons to map stuff. All my other USB stuff like pedals work fine with Axis stuff showing up correctly in the "tune axis" dialog. All the sticks work fine in DCS and Elite. So I'm at a loss what is going on here.
[CPT]Crunch Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 For the Virpil bet its the brake handle giving you the issue, it's because the game refuses to see two possibilities. It only sees the button push on the handle, remember it's dual in function with a physical dx button on an axis simultaneous. You'll have to manually assign the brake axis, go into data/input/current.ACTIONS and set the axis manually such as. rpc_wheel_brakes, joy1_axis_z, And your good to go. You can piggyback and cheat by doing it twice to get the Me-262 nose and wheel brakes on a lever also. rpc_wheel_brakes_central, joy1_axis_z, Your Joy(number) may vary, just look at the pitch and roll, its the same number. Than you can have individual rudder pedal foot brakes and nose wheel with all brakes on the jet, and Russian birds and Spits are also covered. And you can still assign the button for something in flight that you'll never use while using the wheel brake lever on the ground, to have your cake and eat it too.
