Graphics settings wont change or save

Its a pretty simple issue whenever I try to change my graphics they don't save or change in game even when i restart like prompted too. Is there a way to fix this I've already re-downloaded the game?

Do you have your config file set to read only?...I had a similar issue a while ago and that was the cause.

I don't know how would I check this

Steam/Common/IL2…./data/….look for Startup.cfg file, right click on it, deselect read only box.

The box is unchecked but still having the issue when ever i hit a graphics preset nothing changes and when i set my own nothing changes

Is your game in C/Program files or /games? Then move it to somewhere else on your disc(s) and try again.

Just so we're all clear on what you are observing . . . 

 

You make the desired changes in graphics settings menu.

You click the restart to implement changes button.

The game restarts.

After restart you return to the graphics menu none of your changes have stuck.

 

Is that right?

The changes do save but i dont think they apply in game also the preset graphics options like low and ultra do not change anything
