Aircraft Info Websites (Excluding Wikipedia)

Hi, I just want to ask a question. Would anyone know what websites with answers to specific questions about aircraft for example, the Ju 88 A-14 in terms of where this particular sub-variant was used, when it entered service, how many were built, and recorded missions this type went on? I mean Wikipedia has a lot of information, but finding answers to some of my questions can be very difficult to find, or may not be present at all. I often struggle using a search engine in finding what I'm looking for. If you do, would you be able to send me some links? Therefore I will not have to ask anyone again on this forum about the history of aircraft when I know where else to look.

Thanks

Hard to reply:
First, find a picture of a a-14 with description (year, Staffel)
Go to WW2.dk and search for the staffel number and look at his operational history. it will give you some clues.
Then start the costly part: Find books about the staffel and books about the ju88.
Books are rather costly, so if you're short on $$$, there are always scanned free ebooks to be found on the web.
(can't give you links as this is about copyrighted material, and thus forbidden here)
Other possibility is to find some WWII aviation related boards (like ww2aircraft.net for example, but there are more of them) and ask your question.

Adit: forgot to say, sometimes you may find answers or clues on some unexpected pages, like this one

https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/type/ju88

either way, the word is "google it"  and surf from page to page, from link to link.

Hello Jackfraser

If you are interested in primary Luftwaffe sources, then I would recommend you go to 'The Luftwaffe' page.

https://www.ww2.dk/

If you look under 'Air Units' you can see where particular units were based at particular time periods as well as their primary aircraft type.

If you look under 'Orders of Battle' you can see more specifics regarding the types.

The guy is JV69badatflyski, of the JV69badatflyski dinasty (LoL). More seriously, for years now we call him Bada, short for Badatflyski, which is his nickname with removed squadron tag. Bada is an old fella in the IL-2 community, and a good friend.

I hope you'll find all the internet sources you need, good luck Jack.
