Gun Sight Filter Toggle

The K-14 gun sight filter is missing in the P-51D-15.  The pilot manual for this particular airline shows a cockpit view and a legend that identifies this filter.

The K-14 gun sight filter is present in the P-51B-5 (this really should be the P-51B-7-NA or P-51C-3-NT which introduced the fuselage fuel tank, but that is a separate discussion).

 

Operation of the gun sight filter toggle:

I mapped a two key combination and a joystick button to toggle the gun sight filter.  Whenever I toggle this gun sight filter (on or off) the flaps extend each time.  This forces me to operate the flaps back to their original position.

I mapped separate keys and joystick buttons to extend and retract the flaps.  When I operate the flaps the gun sight filter does not toggle.
