First career mission in the P-51B.

Bomber escort, I get sidetracked with one Fw190, and fall behind and each time I try and catch up with the bombers I see planes on my six, can't ID them. So I have to turn around meet them and each time I do. I fall further behind the the bombers, even so the final tally is 3 Fw190 down, and one severely damaged,  he only survived as I ran out of ammo. One more burst and I would have had him.

 

I saw at least two bombers go down, even so they gave me the silver star.
